Roberta Blankson

Roberta Blankson is an international development professional with extensive experience working on interventions and delivering results that champion and catalyze the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Africa Union Agenda 2063.

With extensive experience working within Africa, she supports the work of several government entities and parliaments, international donors and partners, civil society organizations and communities of practice by designing and delivering policy, programmes, projects, monitoring and evaluation and capacity strengthening interventions that enhances development effectiveness, evidence based policy making, and creates sustainable solutions to some of the world’s complex development challenges. She has cross-sectoral experience from working within the public, private and INGO sectors, and has worked in multicultural environments, leading projects in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia among others.

Roberta will soon begin an exciting new role as an Individual Contractor for the African Development Bank. Currently, she works at the International Centre for Evaluation and Development (ICED) as a Senior Program Officer (East and West Africa). Roberta previously worked with the Office of the President of Ghana’s Monitoring and Evaluation Secretariat, the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation, the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation and was also a Corporate Banker. She served on the Ministerial Advisory Board of the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation from 2019-2021. She is also a Board Member of the PMO Global Institute, Ghana Chapter.

She is the Founder and CEO of Forward Finesse, an international non-profit development organization, raising and supporting the next generation of young experts, leaders and changemakers to serve Africa and the globe, through literacy, leadership excellence, mentorship, upskilling, social entrepreneurship, innovation and advocacy for a B.E.T.T.E.R world.

Roberta is a prolific writer and public speaker, a seasoned blogger and the creator of the “On the Job” Series with 10 episodes for youth professional development. She is passionate about volunteerism, literacy, ethical public leadership, women empowerment and advocates for youth-inclusive development.
